North East Institute of Science and Technology (NEIST), Jorhat: NEIST is a constituent establishment of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), a premier R&D organisation of India, which has a chain of laboratories across the country. Under a mutual cooperation, CSIR-NEIST facilitates KU faculty and research students to pursue their R&D programmes in CSIR-NEIST under the guidance of expert scientists. This also includes exchange of experts and student exchange programmes.

The Kolkata Centre of UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research has been actively involved in field of science for decades and has contributed significantly in the progress of research. The School of Basics Sciences and The School of Engineering and Technology of the Assam Kaziranga University have been actively involved in areas of research for addressing fundamental issues in science education in India. With this perspective, UGC- DAE CSR, Kolkata Center in active collaboration with the School of Basic Sciences and The School of Engineering and Technology of The Assam Kaziranga University are working together to provide an ideal platform to the researchers, academicians, engineers, as well as industry professionals in order to interact and exchange new ideas, present their research findings and have intellectual deliberations on emerging trends of nano sciences. The workshop is aimed in motivating and facilitating many young researchers and students of India to learn the advancement in the field of nanoscience and technology.
